«Highlights of Barcelona» – Tripadvisor
As part of my Mediterranean cruise with Royal Caribbean I selected the City of Barcelona tour as my activity during our stop in this city. Our tour guide Francesc was very friendly, knowledgeable, and energetic; he took our tour group to landmarks such as Passeig de Gracia, Sagrada Familia Cathedral ( a landmark not to be missed in Barcelona!), and the Gothic Quarter where we visited the impressive St. Eulalia’s Cathedral (Barcelona’s Cathedral). As a Spain’s national, Francesc added this unique pasion and flavor to the tour’s narrative making everyone feel as part of the history of the city, and making this a very memorable tour. I highly recommend this tour as part of anyone’s «Getting to Know Barcelona» adventure.

Francesc’s Response: Thanks so much for your review. I love to ear tourist, who discovered Barcelona with me, they enjoyed the city and recommend my tours.

«This tour was awesome» – Tripadvisor
We had an excellent time on this tour! Francesc was an amazing tour guide and had a ton of information to share with us about the various sites that we visited. Even though we did not have a long tour, we didn’t feel rushed unlike some other tours I have done across Europe with similar time constraints. I highly recommend this tour and moreover recommend Francesc as a guide!

«For us, the perfect perfect guide!» – TripAdvisor
My wife and I booked Francesc for our first two mornings (4 hours each) in Barcelona and asked him to focus on history and architecture. I cannot recommend highly enough starting off your visit this way if you are new to the city, as we were. Francesc was, from our POV, the perfect perfect guide. He is energetic but calm, he always has a plan but is always aware of the client’s reactions and is always open to a modification, his knowledge of the city is so detailed and so thorough that he can explain anything that might interest you in whatever level of detail you might enjoy and in a manner designed to engage your interest.

The first morning, we began at our hotel in the gothic quarter (Mercer hotel – wonderful!) within the original inner city walls and walked us through the expansion of old Barcelona through time giving us a real feel for how Barcelona grew and why. He seemed to know details of everything, sometimes, for instance, leading us into small boutiques to show us an ancient wall behind a clothing rack.
The second morning he took us on an architecture oriented tour of the more modern areas (still old if you come from LA, like us) including the great Gaudi church (as an official guide, allowing us to entry immediately despite an enormous line). Francesc would leave us in a perfect spot to lunch with advice for the rest of the day.
We enjoyed our time with Francesc which informed the rest of our visit in the best way.
If you are visiting Barca in other than low season, book him in advance (as we did), as his dance card fills up quickly.

 «Wonderful guide!!!!» – TripAdvisor
He was very accommodating and punctual. We had a lovely time learning all about the sights, culinary treats and must dos of Barcelona. The tour was a half of a day and he catered to our whelms and interests. Perfect choice for a guide. We had reserved a table for the flamenco show and he took the time prior to our arrival to Barcelona to go by the show and reserved the best table for just my husband and I.

Francesc’s response: Great!!! I didn’t know if in the end you had table in front of the stage. I asked for it but not always it’s possible. Fantastic!

 «Getting to know Gaudi….» – TripAdvisor
Having stepped out of our hotel (Passeig de Gracia), Francesc had already captured our full attention with his little stories on how Barcelona became the beautifil city, you can visit today.

We had 4 hours and decided to concentrate on visiting Gaudis legends: Casa Battlo, la Pedrera, Sagrada Familla, Parc Güell.
Concentrating for 4 hours, especially when having a child with you, can be very challenging. However our guide made us go back in time and really feel what Barcelona and Gaudi were living at that time. Moreover, he was able to answer any further question we asked. You notice that history is not ony his job but a passion he likes to share with the curious.

 «Wonderful tour guide» – TripAdvisor
We have used private day tour guides in 5 other cities, and all were very good, but we found Francesc the best tour guide we ever had. His knowledge, enthusiasm, and personality made our 2 four hour tours with him wonderful. We obtained a greater understanding and knowledge of Barcelona and its history. His explanations in the Picasso Museum helped tremendously to our understanding of how the artist developed. The visit to the Sagrada Familia with Francesc was outstanding, his discussions were excellent. He took us to places we would never find on our own in the Boqueria Market and Gothic Quarter. If you use his services, make sure he takes your for hot chocolate. Francesc’s use of English was very understandable.

 «Magnificent Montserrat» – TripAdvisor
The Madonna of Monserrat is an icon of Catalon culture. This tour allows you to see the monastery, the black Msadonna and, most importantly, the impressive mountain site (which inspired Gaudi, among others.) The guide Francesc shares his enthusiasm for the history and natural beauty of the site — he’s knowledgeable and charming. Perhaps someone should give him some hints on English pronounciation (MON-as-terry instead of mon-as-TER-ee for example) but somehow the halting and accented English added to the charm of the tour. I especially enjoyed the sound of the usually silent b in ‘climbers».

«Fantastic Tour» – Tripadvisor
Informative, Polite. We were on the last day of a Princess Cruise, our tour was from 8.30 am and then back to the Airport, the tour of the city was a fantastic end to the Holiday.

«Good Tour» – Tripadvisor
Fransesc gave us an excellent private tour of Barcelona, doing his best to cover as many of the most important sights as he could in the limited time we had. We really appreciated his knowledge of the city and its history and architecture!
