“Wonderful Tour of Barcelona” – Tripadvisor
I recently went on a 4 hour tour of Barcelona with my 2 teenage kids and my mother. Our guide, Francesc Garcia, was friendly, informative, and easy to understand and he worked with our very tight time schedule. He helped us plan out a tour so that we could see what we were most interested in during the short time we were in Barcelona. He had so much knowledge of the history, architecture, and culture and answered all of our questions. We walked many of the places and he arranged taxis for our group when we needed them. The tour was wonderful!!! Barcelona is a beautiful place and we could not have asked for a better guide. I highly recommend Fracesc and a tour of Barcelona.

Francesc’s Response: Thanks so much! I appreciate your words and I hope to see you and your family soon in Barcelona again. Francesc

“Great tour of Gaudi’s Barcelona” – Tripadvisor
I recently went on a half day tour of Gaudi’s Barcelona with Francesc as our tour guide. We visited the Sagrada Familia and had a tour of the inside. We also saw Casa Mila, Casa Batllo and visited the gardens of Park Guell. Francesc was a brilliant guide, very informative and enthusiastic about the places we visited. I thoroughly enjoyed the tour and would recommend it to anyone. I would love to go back soon.

“Francesc is a credit to Barcelona” – Tripadvisor
I recently went on a half day group tour with Francesc titled ” Gaudi’s Barcelona “. I was excited to see the Sagrada Familia but from the moment I got on the coach Francesca transported us into the wonderful world of historic Barcelona. He hardly stopped for breath as he passionately gave us the history of this amazing city as we drove through the busy streets of Barcelona feasting our eyes on the many sites on route to Sagrada Familia which, I must say, on arrival took my breath away . Francesca explained so much of the history and the ideas behind Gaudis vision. Francescas love of the subject is so obvious that its infectious. I cant wait to go back and would book Francesca again without hesitation as I am impatient to learn more from him.

“Fantastic Guide. Brill day.” – Tripadvisor
We went on an organised tour of Gaudi’s Barcelona. Our tour guide was friendly, informative and had so much knowledge. He really made it worthwhile. Highly highly recommended. Wonderful way to see Barcelona. But please be aware there is a bit of walking and some stairs. If you read any negative comments about the trip please note it probably came from some really winy folks who really should not have come on the trip. There is absolutely nothing negative to say about it.

“Terrific Guide!” – Tripadvisor
We booked Francesc for two half-days in Barcelona (four hours each). The first tour was of Montjuic and the Olympic Stadium, and the second was of Modernist Barcelona. There were six of us in our party, including three boys, ages 9-12. Francesc made each tour interesting for adults and children alike. It is difficult to keep the attention of young boys, but he did so with aplomb. He was quite knowledgeable about all aspects of the tours, and was able to answer every question we asked with many details. He also had several interesting stories to tell the boys concerning the history behind several of Gaudi’s masterpieces, as well as other historical facts concerning the city. He also gave us several suggestions of places to go on the second part of our journey to the Costa Brava. These suggestions were spot on, making that journey a fantastic one as well. A private tour guide is such a personal experience, and the personality of the tour guide can either make or break your visit. He was top notch – bright, friendly, positive, genuine, and relaxed.

“Run, don’t walk to hire Alex S.” – Tripadvisor
Alex was our guide for 1 1/2 days during our visit to Barcelona (first time). He was fantastic. His English is better than ours! He is so personable, knowledgeable, and just a fabulous person. He took us for a 4 hr hike (round trip) to a monastery outside of Barcelona which was incredible. We had lunch at the top of the hill in the monastery and the views were just magnificent. We hiked at our own pace and we were not rushed at all. Then we went into Barcelona and walked and went to so many attractions (Gaudi’s Sagrada Familia (A MUST SEE), Picasso Museum, Christopher Columbus monument, etc), modern section, Gothic section and he explained so clearly what we were seeing. Told us some interesting stories of what we saw. Could not believe all the facts he knows but it never seemed as if he memorized any of it. We would HIGHLY recommend him as your tour guide. Recommended a very good restaurant by the water. Just a wonderful way for my husband and me to see Barcelona- a wonderful city!

“For us, the perfect perfect guide!” – TripAdvisor
My wife and I booked Francesc for our first two mornings (4 hours each) in Barcelona and asked him to focus on history and architecture. I cannot recommend highly enough starting off your visit this way if you are new to the city, as we were. Francesc was, from our POV, the perfect perfect guide. He is energetic but calm, he always has a plan but is always aware of the client’s reactions and is always open to a modification, his knowledge of the city is so detailed and so thorough that he can explain anything that might interest you in whatever level of detail you might enjoy and in a manner designed to engage your interest.

The first morning, we began at our hotel in the gothic quarter (Mercer hotel – wonderful!) within the original inner city walls and walked us through the expansion of old Barcelona through time giving us a real feel for how Barcelona grew and why. He seemed to know details of everything, sometimes, for instance, leading us into small boutiques to show us an ancient wall behind a clothing rack.
The second morning he took us on an architecture oriented tour of the more modern areas (still old if you come from LA, like us) including the great Gaudi church (as an official guide, allowing us to entry immediately despite an enormous line). Francesc would leave us in a perfect spot to lunch with advice for the rest of the day.
We enjoyed our time with Francesc which informed the rest of our visit in the best way.
If you are visiting Barca in other than low season, book him in advance (as we did), as his dance card fills up quickly.

 “Wonderful guide!!!!” – TripAdvisor
He was very accommodating and punctual. We had a lovely time learning all about the sights, culinary treats and must dos of Barcelona. The tour was a half of a day and he catered to our whelms and interests. Perfect choice for a guide. We had reserved a table for the flamenco show and he took the time prior to our arrival to Barcelona to go by the show and reserved the best table for just my husband and I.

Francesc’s response: Great!!! I didn’t know if in the end you had table in front of the stage. I asked for it but not always it’s possible. Fantastic!

Getting to know Gaudi….” – TripAdvisor
Having stepped out of our hotel (Passeig de Gracia), Francesc had already captured our full attention with his little stories on how Barcelona became the beautifil city, you can visit today.

We had 4 hours and decided to concentrate on visiting Gaudis legends: Casa Battlo, la Pedrera, Sagrada Familla, Parc Güell.
Concentrating for 4 hours, especially when having a child with you, can be very challenging. However our guide made us go back in time and really feel what Barcelona and Gaudi were living at that time. Moreover, he was able to answer any further question we asked. You notice that history is not ony his job but a passion he likes to share with the curious.
