“A Pleasant Half Day in Barcelona” – Tripadvisors
Eight of us on a tour extension in Barcelona had the pleasure of walking with Monserrat (Monse) through the old quarter of Barcelona. Since we had been touring across Portugal and Spain for 16 days, we wanted a leisurely pace. Monse delivered exactly that. She showed us the hidden gems that we might have missed when we walked the Ramblas for the first time. This was especially true in the Boqueria market where she seemed to know almost all of the vendors. It was exciting to be there on Saturday morning. After two hours, we had a “chocolate stop” at a local shop. All of our group appreciated the commentary and observations. We felt more “in synch” with Barcelona and better understood its attractiveness for visitors. Hopefully we will return. Monse did a great job.
