We traveled to Barcelona in December 2017 and via TripAdvisor we found Fancesc! He is hands-down the very best guide we have had (and we get guides in almost every city when we travel). Our tour consisted of 11 of us. My brother and his family (wife, three children (ages 15-22)) and my family (husband, two children (16-20)) and a family friend (22). We did two half day tours, but I wish we had done more.

Francesc met us at our hotel (Arai Aparthotel – ALSO FABULOUS) and we stopped at the coffee shop on the corner for a quick bite and for Francesc to orient us to the Gothic District. We saw everything we ever wanted, and had the advantage of being there for Christmas so we enjoyed the Christmas markets and learned all about the tito logs and Poopers! The following day we also met at the hotel, where Francesc organized cabs for all of us to tour Sagrada Família, Park Guell and a little of the Block of Discord. This was a four hour tour and I wish it were longer. You need a good solid 90 minutes in the Sagrada Familia for sure.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Francesc. He gave interesting, insightful information about the famous stuff we were seeing, and just the local culture. He was informative, fun, funny, easy to be with, which is sometimes hard to find in a guide. If my family and I are going to be in a city for the first time, and spend it with a complete stranger telling us about the city, that guide has got to be FABULOUS. And, Francesc is that kind of guide!!!
