 Tour: Walking tour of the Old Town – TBL
We were extremely happy with the tour of Old Town Barcelona that Francesc guided. Francesc is obviously passionate about his city and extremely well informed. He answered in detail every question I asked. He was always pleasant and understanding. He was very understanding of my husband’s arthritis and slowed his walking and the tour appropriately. Of the eight tours I took over the last three weeks his and one other by Tours by Locals were the best. I wouldn’t hesitate to go with him again.

 Tour: Medieval Villages and Nature – TBL
The tour was outstanding. The medieval mountain towns, forests, waterfalls and lakes were stunning. Fransec was an awesome guide who is so very knowledgeable of the area and really knows his way around. His car was very comfortable for our trip. His English is very good. We were so fortunate to have such a knowledgeable and experienced guide.

Tre sono stati i tour prenotati con lui (Francesc Garcia), Museo di Dalì & Girona, Quartiere Gotico a piedi e infine Gaudì: Sacra Famiglia, Park Guell e altri siti. Francesc si è rivelato una guida molto preparata e organizzata. Il suo salta la fila è stato perfetto, neanche un solo minuto d’attesa ai vari ingressi. Molto utile è stato l’utilizzo degli auricolari che consente di scattare foto e video, anche a distanza da lui, mentre si ascolta quello che dice. Le sue spiegazioni storiche/architettoniche ricche di aneddoti, si sono rivelate preziose nel capire e cogliere diversi particolari significativi di tutto quello che si osservava. Senza di lui sicuramente non si sarebbero apprezzati una moltitudine di dettagli architettonici o di opere d’arti con duplice significato. I cinque pallini li merita tutti, grazie Francesc per aver reso la nostra vacanza più completa e ricca. Consigliatissimo.

 Tour: Tapas & Pinchos in the Old Town & Flamenco – TBL
Francesc was a perfect host showing us around the city for Tapas. We didn’t have time for Pinchos, but later were able to enjoy on our own.

Francesc’s Response: Thanks for your review Christine. Yes, you are right, as we said I prefer the other flamenco establishment that is much better and more passionate! Unfortunately, it is closed on Monday, that’s why we couldn’t go there.

 Tour: Montserrat – TBL
We had a fabulous day in Monserrat with Francesc. He and another guide, Suzie R. put together a personal tour just for us. We drove there in Francesc’s car (with a great sunroof so we didn’t miss a thing) and stopped for a special Catalan lunch along the way. Francesc and Suzie are extremely knowledgeable about history, art and architecture and they made it all fun. At the same time, hearing the boy’s choir was a very moving experience we will never forget. We really felt like we were out with friends!

We signed up for the two half- day tours (old city and Gaudo the following AM) and are so glad we did. Francesc made the city come alive with his colorful commentary and deep knowledge of the history of Barcelona. We greatly enjoyed our time with Francesc and highly recommend him for anyone who wants a deep understanding of the city and a fun afternoon!

We had 2 half day private tours with Francesc Garcia in Barcelona.
He was absolutely fabulous from the beginning when he met us at our hotel. Every minute together was wisely planned allowing us to see and learn so much more. We never had to stand in an entrance line, or wait more than a minute for a taxi. Francesc has a great depth of knowledge of Barcelona’s history, culture, architecture, arts, politics, and food and shared his passion for Barcelona enthusiastically with us. Additionally, he asked and listened to what we had already done and tailored his tour accordingly. I would highly recommend Francesc to anyone coming to Barcelona.

Francesc was a terrific tour guide! He knew SO much about the Sagrada Familia, so we left the tour very, very well informed. He is friendly and easy going and was the perfect guide for our family which included two 20 something “kids”. I would not hesitate to recommend him for any tours in Barcelona, especially his tour of the famous Sagrada Familia!

Contact Francesc well ahead of time, because there are a lot of tourists in Barcelona and he is in demand.
He took us on three different full day out of town excursions — Montserrat, Girona, and Tarragona. All were great! Francesc is very knowledgeable, easy to talk to, fun to be with, and introduced us to some great very local restaurants.
Francesc as tied up and arranged for another guide on two days, which we spent in Barcelona itself. She was very good as well. Some city stuff can be done without a guide, but we tried the first day and missed a lot. I would strongly recommend a guide for the Gaudi sites.
